365: Morning View

Out for a crisp morning walk with the dogs. Snow on the ridge, steam rising up from the warm ground. Gorgeous morning! I'm just feeling so happy today.

365: Perils of a Chico Winter

I don't think it's rained yet when there hasn't been a billion mile an hour wind blowing. I spend just as much time fighting to keep my umbrella turn right side in as I spend using my umbrella to block actual rain. I'm getting used to rain blown hair and the feeling of sogginess. At least it's better than snow!!!

365: CAUTION: Winter Has Arrived!!!

This is what "icy" looks like in Northern California. We had our first "hard frost" last night. Ange and I pulled up to campus and nearly laughed ourselves silly. The whole lawn is filled with caution tape. It looks like they forgot to turn off the sprinklers and the sprinkler water turned to a bit of frost. The ridiculousness of this is almost too much.

365: Winter Lindsay

Any time it drops below 50 degrees I feel the need to bundle up like Nanook of the North (see picture). I am glad I live in California instead of Indiana as this greatly reduces the amount of time I'll spend freezing this winter, but it does still fall below 50 here (especially in the canyon) late at night through early morning. Luckily I have my trusty rusty marshmallow jacket and faboo sparkly hat to keep me warm when we take the doggies out.

In my continuing transformation to African...

Dear Cold Dreary Winter,

I hate your guts. Please leave my life forever. I never want to see you again. I'm tired of always being the one who's freezing to death; I don't think I've felt my feet in 3 months. I won't miss you. You are like a bad case of herpes that always comes back no matter how much you wish it would just be over forever.

KThxBai,

Lindsay
