365: Ice Cream Buddies!

After the fundraising dinner at Woodstock's we decided to hit up a new Hispanic ice cream parlor with two of our newest and favoritest people in Chico: Danny & Caitlin! They are also our soon to be surrogate (?) parents to our fur babies!

We had so much fun!!! From Danny's decision to try ALL the green ice creams in the case, to laughing about BEEFHAWKS, and apparently getting on the owner's nerves with our boisterous laughing, it was clear we were the only people in the place having a GAY old time! So glad we met these two :)

365: Last Day!

Today was the last full day of my dad and stepmom's visit with us. We are sad to see them go but know they're ready to go home! We'll see them again in a few months.

On our last day we were busy, busy, busy! We saw lots of sights, had some good food, and enjoyed spending time together. One of my favorite parts of the day was getting Thrifty Ice Cream with them! When I was little my dad worked at Thrifty and when we went to see him at work he'd always give a scoop of ice cream! This was the first time we've ate Thrifty Ice Cream together in over 20 years! Good memories with my pop :)

365: FroYo

My BFF Heather introduced Ange and I to a "make your own frozen yogurt creation" place in Indiana right before we left. I was happy to see a plethora of "FroYo" places in Chico. Unfortunately none of them so far has measured up to the one that Heather introduced us to. However, there is one little shop near campus that offers $1 creations on Tuesdays. That is a Super Steal people. They usually charge by the ounce and it isn't cheap. Now granted they make you use a small cup for that $1 but even still it is a substantial savings. Plus it forces me to not be a complete FroYo pig so double win. It may not be as good, but for a buck I can hardly complain! (Bonus: check out the cool mosaic bench I found to sit on while I ate my $1 FroYo and waited for Ange to be done with her haircut!)
